Registration
Become a vendor.

Become a vendor in 3 steps

Step 1

To apply as a new vendor, you must provide a D-U-N-S number (data Universal numbering system). Since its introduction in 1962, it has been used to identify companies worldwide and it is recommended and used by the Association of the German Automotive Industry (VDA). You get the number free of charge via the universal identification system on the Bisnode platform (unique partner identification key).

Step 2

After receiving the DUNS number, you can start the application by entering your e-mail address in the area below.
Further information on the application process can be found here: Guideline Supplier Application

Step 3

As soon as your application has been accepted by the BMW Group, you will receive an automatically generated email with the assigned supplier number.

Are you already a BMW Group Partner and need access to the Partner Portal now?

Do you already have a supplier number at the BMW Group but have not yet been approved for the Partner Portal?

To use the Partner Portal, you need a master administrator who can create and manage your company users.

Set master administrator

If master administrator hasn`t been added to your supplier number yet, please contact Registration_PartnerPortal@bmw.de with your 8-digit supplier number (xxxxxx-xx) to start the registration workflow.

When you start the registration workflow, you will receive an automatically generated email. This contains a link to the personalized registration page. The following information must be entered here:

First name, last name and e-mail address of the CEO/managing director (alternatively: employee with registered power of attorney)

First name, last name and e-mail address of the future master administrator

You will then receive an e-mail in which the CEO and master administrator must confirm the roles and terms of use of the Partner Portal.

This creates the role of Master Administrator for your company.

Now create a user and an associated password for the master administrator.

Apply for admission

Congratulations, your master administrator is now fully registered.

Attention:
The master administrator requires 2-factor authentication for many of his tasks.
It is therefore strongly recommended that you set this up immediately. Information can be found in the portal under the top links.

Further user management information can be found in the Partner Portal after login. Please go to the menu item the “Collaboration” and then select “User Management”.

Apply for user approval

A user account provides access to a wide range of information and applications for seamless collaboration. At the beginning, a user can only use a few standard applications. If more applications are required, follow the approval information on the application detail pages.

User accounts can only be approved by the master administrator.

There are 2 options to register as a new user in the Partner Portal:

- The master administrator creates a new user account and releases it in the user administration (menu item in the heading).

- The new user applies for a user account via the link Apply for admission. Then master administrator approves the request.

Hint:

The master administrator must login with 2-factor authentication to approve user applications.

If you have any questions about registering for 2-factor authentication, please contact: itsd-german@bmw.com.
